June 1st, 2008

Just a quick post about this Disney site I’ve found with a simple quiz around Star Wars. The site lets you choose your allegiance, and then asks you some questions where you build up your micholorian count.

I knew all along, but it turns out I’m a Jedi Master.

George Lucas to be at Star Wars Weekends 2008

May 22nd, 2008

We’ve been promised a series of “suprises” at the 2008 Star Wars Weekends. Surely the biggest suprise of all would be the materization of George Lucas at the 2008 event.

That’s the buzz over at Mouseplanet, although to be fair they did state this was purely speculation at this point. It was thought that any visit from George Lucas would coincide with the last weekend of the event.

Another rumor is that Star Tours 2.0 might be announced, although that has been discussed since at least 2005.

To quote Mouseplanet, “It’s likely that the reinvigorated development for a new version of the attraction is linked to Disney’s attempt to convince Lucas to let them broadcast the upcoming live-action Star Wars-based television series (Warner Brothers won the battle to show the “Clone Wars” series.)”

Jedi Mickey only in the parades at the Star Wars Weekends

May 21st, 2008

New circulating around the web at the moment, and one that will be a huge let-down for Mickey fans is that Jedi Mickey will not be involved in any Meet-and-Greet sessions at this year’s Star Wars Weekends.Another disappointment for Mickey fans will be the news that Jedi Mickey will not be taking park in any meet-and-greet sessions at this year event. The fairly “lame” reason being given at the moment is that the regualar Mickey will be doing the Meet-and-Greet’s, so there’s no room for Jedi Mickey to do photo/autograph sessions.

You don’t need to be too disappointed though, because Jedi Mickey hasn’t been totally erradicated from the Disney’s Hollywood Studios annual event as he will still be taking part in the parades.

To make up for the disappointment of Jedi Mickey’s removal from the Meet-and-Greet’s, Disney have added three new characters to do the job instead. So bring forth Leia Minnie, Vader Goofy and Stormtrooper Donald who will be taking the meet-and-greet sessions instead.

There were rumors that there would be a Mickey character in the guise of an X-Wing pilot at this years Star Wars Weekend. Unfortunately that hasn’t materialized.
